Adult Watercolour $140 Adult (12 yrs.+) (8 wks)
 8:00 - 9:00 pm - Wednesdays - May 4 to June 22

This course is designed for students who wish to learn the basics of watercolour painting, and also for those who wish to further develop their level of skill and knowledge with this medium. Students will learn colour mixing and theory, the use of watercolour brushes and how to paint with the transparency of watercolours. Participants will also explore various techniques such as making washes, painting wet-into-wet and using resist processes. The course also covers the fundamentals of composition and perspective and students will work with a variety of subject matter including still life, landscape, portraits and subjects of their own choice. Drawing skills can vary. This course also offers students the opportunity to study watercolour beyond the basic level if they wish to continue during successive terms.
